From global newsrooms to strategic leadership
Tumi's career spans international newsrooms to building The Ogese Group as a platform for media, investment, and long-term growth.
As Founder and Group Managing Director, Tumi provides the strategic vision and oversight that defines The Ogese Group’s operations. Her leadership is grounded in almost 2 decades of high-level corporate governance serving as a Non-Executive Director on the boards, audit, risk, remuneration and social and ethics committees of major listed companies.
In the public sector she served as a Director of South African Tourism, and held a pivotal role as Head of International Affairs and Communications for the 2010 FIFA World Cup Organising Committee. An advocate for the promotion of good governance in business structures, Tumi is currently reading for her LLM in International Business Law. This techincal grounding ensures that The Ogese Group continues to operate with the legal and structural sophistication required for complex cross-border trade.
Her transition from a globally recognised broadcaster with CNN International to a business leader is reflected in the manner in which ‘Ogese’ had evolved from a personal brand to an increasingly robust corporate institution.
